Behesht-e Zahra (Persian: بهشت زهرا‎‎,The Paradise of Zahra, from Fatima az-Zahra), is the largest cemetery in Iran. Located in the southern part of metropolitan Tehran,[1] it is connected to the city by Tehran Metro Line 1. The cemetery has been one of the inspirations for a webcomic called Zahra’s Paradise.

This photo has been taken from the section 108 of Beheshte-Zahra cemetery where some of the martyrs of the 1988 massacre were buried there.

These photos show the graves of 6 of those massacred in 1988 in Sangsar, Semnan province north Iran. Three of them have been identified as “Aghdas Hemati”, “Nasrin Khanjani”, “Gholamhossein Mokedi”.

Beheshte-Zahra Bandar-Abas

The name of is District in Bandar-Abas southwest Iran, is Beheshte-Zahra, (The Paradise of Zahra, from Fatima az-Zahra). But it was called Baghe Malayi in the past.

As seen in the photo, there are places on the ground that are in the form of a grave. But now it has been cemented and been transformed to a park and street.
