NGO urges Asma Jahangir to investigate Iran’s 1988 massacre

In an address to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva on 13 March 2017, Ms. Hélène Fathpour, speaking for the NGO “Women’s Human Rights International Association”, urges the UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran, Ms. Asma Jahangir, to investigate the mass execution of more than 30,000 political prisoners in Iran in the summer of 1988.
